PROGRAM REACH FOUNDATION
Once Korean teenagers age out of the child welfare system, they receive a one time check of 5,000,000 Won (approximately $5,000.00). This amount is insufficient for higher education costs, uniforms for part-time jobs, and general living expenses. It is part of Korean culture for parents to pay the entire college tuition or to take out bank loans for their children. Our students at the orphanage are at an extreme disadvantage. Junggki Choi and Charlene Araujo started The Program Reach Foundation in August 2012. Our foundation is small and we can only pay the costs for students to take a certification test or an education related expense of no greater than 60,000 Won (~$50.00USD). But we care about the future of these children and want to help them attain their future goals. All donations can be made to:
